Ruth Weissenburger started working as a freelance scene sculptor in 2013. After having successfully completed her practical training as a sculptor at “Bühnenservice Berlin”, she studied scene sculpting at the University of Arts in Dresden.

From 2016 to 2017 she qualified for a national scholarship program, “Deutschlandstipendium”, which is awarded for “excellent performances at university or at work.”

In 2017 she was chosen for the Jinhua Homestay Project in Shangjing (China), an international exchange project for young artists and students.

In her workshop in Berlin she is creating sculpted and painted works for productions of opera houses, theatres and movies, as well as for fairs and exhibitions, dance shows and musicals. Her close cooperation with make-up artists, painters, costume designers and graphic designers allows her to realize a wide range of commissions to the satisfaction of her clients.

Her clients include Lifelike Figures Berlin, BelleAlliance Hamburg, Stage Entertainment GmbH, PropArt Hamburg, Bühnenservice Berlin, Propshop Berlin, Premium Projects Berlin and the opera in Bonn as well as private clients.

In addition to the realization of commissions, Ruth Weissenburger is also working on her own artistic ideas.
